Everyday, we use water to do so many things that we probably don’t even realize we already are using too much of it: we take a bath, wash our hands, brush our teeth, flush the toilet, water the pets and plants, and rinse off vegetables and meat for our food consumption. Yes, plenty of water is available on earth but it won’t be for long. Take note that we use it faster than it naturally can be replenished. To minimize its wastage, we can conserve water by practicing these simple strategies:
1. DON’T LEAVE THE WATER RUNNING FOR NOTHING!

2. NEVER LEAVE WHEN THE TAP’S NOT YET SECURELY CLOSED!

3. TAKE A SHORTER BATH!
4. AVOID POURING OUT LEFTOVER WATER DOWN THE DRAIN! There may be another use for it.
5. AVOID THROWING AWAY A WATER BOTTLE WITH WATER IN IT! Leftover water can be poured onto the plants.
6. AVOID FLUSHING THE TOILET TOO MANY TIMES!
7. DON’T USE THE TOILET AS A WASTEBASKET!
8. TRY TO USE OUR RAINWATER – such as in watering indoor plants or flushing the toilet.
9. MINIMIZE USING HOSE. INSTEAD, PRACTICE USING BUCKETS!
10. AVOID UTILIZING LARGE AMOUNT OF WATER IN CLEANING SIDEWALKS OR DRIVEWAYS.
11. BE WATER AWARE!
Just stop and think about what a big contribution you could make toward water conservation. You can do so much more.
